Had a lot of fun as we always do, fishing was good

We truly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Bay. Our family enjoyed the fishing on Nelson Lake and caught enough fish to have a fish fry on our last night. The cabin was clean and we appreciated the side porch to keep our chairs, floaties, etc. There was plenty of room for trailers and parking, which was great! Great location and beautiful area. We really enjoyed our stay on the lake. Could use some new furniture but other than that our stay was great.

My husband and I stayed here for a second time. It's a great location, just far enough away from Hayward that you feel like you're away, but close enough that you can still access services with driving too far. Great fun in below zero weather! XC Skiing on Birkie trail was awesome for classic style but tough for skate-skiing. When the mercury really dipped snowshoeing was the way to go. Sunset over Nelson Lake beautiful & fires in the woodstove very nice. Would be good if the owner tightens up the seal on woodstove door though it doesn't burn so much wood...
