The dust has cleared, and after intense scrutiny by Savvy’s technical team, Raven Lexy has been declared the winner of the April 2008 round.

She advances as a finalist for a US$1 Million prize in Savvy’s Search for the Million Dollar Woman and will join fellow Americans Amanda Myers and Lisa Angeline as well as Iceland’s Ásdís Rán Gunnarsdóttir in Sydney, Australia early next year.

“Australia will be the most fun trip!” she predicted. “The farthest I’ve ever been from home was Mardi Gras in Louisiana. I’ve already established a bit of a friendship with Lisa and Icequeen so hopefully we’ll all be girlfriends when we get there and it will be like a big slumber party.”

When Savvy called Raven to notify her she’d won, we teased her that it would be another four days before we’d know anything. She literally screamed with joy when we let her know that we were only teasing her.

“I’m so gullible!” she laughed. “Last month was so crazy. Emotions were so high with all of the blog comments. I couldn’t peel myself away from the computer. Every few minutes, I had to go back and check the leaderboard because my ranking kept going up and down. The last 40 minutes of it, I was going crazy!”

As the April winner, attention is focused squarely on Lexy. She’s used to it.

“I think I drove my parents crazy when I was young. I got boobs in the eighth grade and I’m a Gemini so I’m very outgoing.  I was a varsity cheerleader in school. I was voted biggest flirt my senior year in high school. I’ve always loved to have fun, and I’ve always been, like, ‘Look at me!’”

Only natural, then, that the San Diego native would move from Orange County to LA earlier this year to chase her Tinseltown dreams. Lexy has been working on some movies and just got the lead role in an independent feature tentatively titled Spider Woman.

“I’ve had some lucky breaks in modelling and acting lately,” she said.

Lexy would love to get a role playing a vampire since she has a thing for them.

“I love horror movies. I don’t know why I’d love to play a vampire so much. Maybe because they’re sensual and empowering. They’re young and live forever. I love going to the movies and eating popcorn. I also love sci-fi like Lord of the Rings and romantic movies like Tristan and Isolde.”

She’s just as comfortable partying at the Playboy mansion or go-go dancing as she is curling up at home with her guy. She said her man is very supportive of her modeling career and she wouldn’t trade him, her family or her friends for anything.

Lexy also values the friendships she has made at Savvy.com.

“I love Savvy. Not only was the competition a lot of fun but the site attracts a lot of really cool people. There’s a lot of support and friendships that will probably last a long time because it’s more of a chatting relationship than the kind where someone is just standing there staring at your boobs while you talk. That mental connection is kinda cool. My friend Jennifer Walcott emailed me about the contest. I really didn’t know what it was at first. I uploaded my photos and then people started messaging me. So I started talking to people and making friends. It wasn’t until the last month that I realised this was a competition and I really made an effort to win,” she said.

Her plan if she didn’t win April was to buy a camera and start posting video blogs. But don’t fret, Savvy Nation; she said she still plans to do one to show her appreciation to her new Savvy friends who gave her this honour. She may even show us her champion hoola hoop skills.

If that doesn’t give you a reason to love Savvy, nothing will.
