Welcome one and all to the new and very much improved Savvy Style... Please, make yourselves at home.

The times, they are indeed a changing. With the beginning of all that is great in 2008, we brought you, loyal Savvy readers, a new look for Savvy – well, sit tight Savvy-ights, because we’re ready, set and go to finish what we started at the beginning of the year and give you the rest of the good stuff.

That is, if by ‘good stuff’ we mean ‘a new-look homepage, a spankin’ new style section and a whole host of other bits and pieces for you to play with’.

Jam-packed to the brim with everything you’ve always wanted and a little bit more, this new-look Savvy celebrates the relaunch of our style section – with plenty of tips, tricks, and of course trends all hot-of-the-press from designers and fashion folk around the globe.

This month, share the limelight with the stunning Larysa Poznyak, the face of Fashion TV; learn your lessons from Miss Imelda in Milan; get up close and personal with itsy-bitsy-teeney-weeney bikini designer Tali Jatali, and the infamous Michael Bracewell, and commit the Commandments of Menswear to memory.

And as they say on those trusty infomercials on which I spend a good chunk of my salary (Ab King Pro – you disappointed me so!)… but wait, there’s more!

Get Savvy on the etiquette of grooming issues! In Get Groomed, we ask all the hard hitting questions, like is the amount of fun a blonde can have based on the quality of her locks? And is the first cut really the deepest? Savvy Style also offers sage relationship advice – including how to break up with your hairdresser. The good ol’ cut ‘n run has simply never been more fun.

Need advice? David Moore shows you what not to do when it comes to hair, and lingerie aficionado, Melissa Gallagher, helps you with those, ahem, delicate matters. With all this in store (and plenty more!), just think of how much money you’ll save on counselling!

Over the next few weeks you’ll notice all sorts of weird and wonderful additions to the Savvy family. And you’ll notice some familiar faces missing. News, Sports, Work & Money, Love Lounge, Rides, Gizmos, and Health are no longer with us. They are instead off in a sunny place having some work done (why not get a holiday while they’re at it? They sure have earned it). Never fear, they’ll be back soon. They sent us a postcard, and the surgery was a success. While they wish we were there; we’re damn glad we’re here.

Yes, it’s true - a change is, or so we’re told, as good as a holiday. As we don’t have holiday leave in our contracts here at Savvy, we’ll have to settle for change. As the not-so-lovely-anymore Ms Crowe said, “a change will do you good.”  The change that’s doing us (more than) some good is this: the new, and very much improved Savvy.

It is now that we should raise our glasses, have a round of applause and tip our hats (although preferably not at the same time – that could get messy), to the team behind the relaunch. Our ever-vigilant tech monkeys have worked day and night for months on end; our designers scraping the bottom of their industrial-sized bottles of No Doze, and our editorial team – well, they’re doing what any self respectable editorial team is doing – they’re getting drunk.

Savvy lovers, and Savvy newcomers: stay tuned for more updates. On the not-so-distant horizon, if you shield your eyes from the glare of our new-look homepage, and gaze wistfully ahead, you will spot the soon-to-be active new-look social network, as well as other new sections and features, and a couple of the old classics making a speedy comeback.
