Shana Prevette is one hot paradox.

On the one hand, the 25-year-old model and actress feels perfectly natural strutting down a runway in a skimpy bikini and wishes everyone could walk around naked all the time. Most people could only get up in front of a large crowd if they imagined the audience in their underwear. Behind Shana’s poise and confident stride, however, lies a girl terrified of speaking to all of those strange faces out there.

“I did the Miss Trump International and won,” she said. “Donald Trump tried to talk me into getting into the Miss USA pageant circuit, but I don’t like to talk in front of crowds. I can talk to anyone informally. He thought I talked so well, but if I have to talk in front of an audience, that’s my biggest fear.”

Gatherings of men eager to feast on the sight of her lovely 34C-23-33 figure don’t mind because her sex appeal speaks volumes.

Shana, the March winner of Savvy’s “Is She Hot?” contest, has been a fixture of bikini contests for the last couple of years – some friends talked her into entering one and she went all the way – but she said this will likely be her final year of competition as she turns her focus more to modeling and acting.

A full-time model, she is a spokes model for Pirelli Tire, NASCAR, Worldwide Athlete, CMG, Hawaiian Tropic, Blue Emu, Trim Spa and Hooters. Her titles include 2005 Miss Hawaiian Tropic US Finals winner, Miss Club 2000, Miss Road Atlanta 2003, Miss August in the 2004 American Dream Calendar, Miss January in the 2004 Hooters calendar, and Stuff magazine model in March 2004. She also appeared on the covers of High Roller magazine, in addition to making appearances on the “Late Show with David Letterman”, MTV’s “True Life” and a Gillette commercial. She regularly makes the rounds at car shows, bike shows, NASCAR races, Lemans races, golf tournaments and other sporting events.

Shana ranks among one of the most popular “Is She Hot?” contestants ever, walking away with a 7.02 rating from Savvy readers.

“To finally win the contest, it felt great,” she told Savvy.

We sat her down for a quick interview to uncover the mystery behind this paradox…

Savvy: So you don’t do nude photos, but you say you wish everyone walked around naked. What’s up with that?

Shana: I’ve never done any nudes. Just implied nudity.

Savvy: Inquiring minds want to know why. Do you look down on models that shed their bikinis?

Shana: No, I’m not opposed to nudity. A lot of my friends have done Playboy and have very classy shots. I just come from a family with a lot of men, and it would not be in my best interest to even consider it.

Savvy: But you are pretty hip to the idea of everyone walking around nude.

Shana:
Right, I don’t want to do nude photos, but if everyone walked around nude, which would just be perfect with me. Life is more comfortable naked. I normally walk around the house naked if no one is around. I’ve been to topless beaches but never fully nude beaches. It would be great if everyone was naked.

Savvy: Two questions arise: Is the house next to yours available to rent? And would you really want to see EVERYBODY naked? I can think of some people who need to be clothed at all times for the sake of humanity.

Shana: Well, ya know, if everyone would take better care of their bodies, it would be hot. Maybe they would if clothing wasn’t an option.

Savvy: So you walk around your house naked. That’s hot.

Shana: Yeah, I don’t need any gift certificates to Victoria’s Secret. (Laughs)

Savvy: But women look so hot in lingerie. Even though you aren’t a lesbian, wouldn’t you agree?

Shana: I do frequent female strip clubs a lot.

Savvy: Excuse me?

Shana: Well, for different reasons. I like going there because guys don’t bother you like they would if you were in a club with your girlfriends. You know, you don’t want to be rude to guys so you have to say “No thank you” all night. When you go to a strip club, you don’t have to deal with that. I get my own private area and spend the night looking at hot chicks.

Savvy: You sure you aren’t into girls?

Shana: No, not so much. I mean, I can appreciate a hot girl. Dancers work as hard as models. Just because they dance doesn’t make them bad people. My girlfriends and I swap tips for working out with them, which really kills it for any guys who are with us.

Savvy: You ever stripped?

Shana: I really want my boyfriend to buy that Carmen Electra striptease video for me.

Savvy: He should do that. And set up a web cam so the rest of us can enjoy.

Shana: I don’t think so, but I’ve always been a camera hog. I can walk in front of a million people in my bikini, but ask me to talk to them and we might have a problem.

Savvy: What kind of guys are you attracted to?

Shana: I like guys that are very secure with themselves, funny and someone who doesn’t mind spoiling his lady.

Savvy: I bet your boyfriends have to be secure. Do guys walk up to you and start hitting on you right in front of him?

Shana: Oh yeah.

Savvy: No way! Does he have to beat some ass now and then?

Shana: He’ll just join the conversation. I’ll introduce him, and (guys) get the hint. He’s very confident and supportive.

Savvy: He must feel 10 feet tall when guys go nuts seeing you on stage. I know I would.

Shana: At contests, I don’t like talking to judges and trying to convince them to vote for me. That’s just not my cup of tea. He’ll tell me, “You need to go mingle and talk to them.” He understands how they work. I’d rather just let them look at me and decide if they like me the best.

Savvy: You met Donald Trump. Is he a rich horn dog?

Shana: He may be, but he was very polite to me. It’s funny, though. He will talk about whatever he wants to talk about whereas the typical person is usually more reserved. I found him to be not reserved at all. He was talking about someone we know in common and admitted having an affair with his wife. I was, like, “Oh my goodness.” It just took me by surprise.

Savvy: He probably liked your accent. Besides the drawl, how are Southern girls different from women in other parts of
America?

Shana: I lived in
New York for a year, and I’ve learned that how Southerners smile and talk to everyone, you can’t really do that in other parts of the country because they think of it as more than just being friendly. I understand why girls in other parts of the country aren’t as friendly to guys as Southern girls. Just being Southern, in general, you can’t go a day without talking to someone. If you were by yourself, you’d still end up talking to someone in public. I like that. In New York, I can spend a whole day shopping and never talk to anyone. It’s not that they’re mean. They just aren’t friendly.

Savvy: What do you do for fun?

Shana: I want to be with all of my friends and have a safe driver. I like to be at home since I travel all the time. Going to downtown
Charlotte is my idea of a good time because I’m not home that often.

Savvy: Why should I pay a visit to
North Carolina?

Shana:
Charlotte has Gen X’ers everywhere. No one is from Charlotte, everyone just lives there.

Savvy: You said you travel all the time, but do you find your opportunities limited by living in North Carolina?

Shana: Actually, I’m trying out for a casting for a movie to be filmed here. It’s the first big movie shot here since “Shallow Hal”.

Savvy: What were you like as a kid growing up in
Charlotte?

Shana: I grew up a tomboy in my neighborhood so a lot of my friends from the past are guys. I used to break the law a lot. We’d take our 4-wheelers out, call the cops and then outrun them every weekend. That’s just kind of rebellious. I’ve always been a little on the wild side but nothing more than everyone does.

Savvy: Speaking of wildness, are you pretty open talking about sex with your girlfriends?

Shana: I think girls talk about sex actually more than guys do. When we’re hanging out, that’s our main topic of discussion. We talk about guys in general. We kiss and tell. My friends do anyway.

Savvy: Good to know. You have a boyfriend, but if you were unattached, do you think it is easier today for a woman to pursue what she wants sexually with whoever, whenever?

Shana: There’s probably still a stigma, but yeah, girls can go out and do what they want sexually more than they could a generation ago.

Savvy: You mentioned overprotective guys in your family. Any uncles or cousins I should look out for after they see these photos?

Shana: My family is very supportive, my mom and dad especially. Sometimes my dad will look at my pictures and say, “I think you need a little more clothes there…”

Savvy: I would say father knows best, but not when the daughter looks so fine in a skimpy bikini. Does he really get freaked out by seeing you look sexy?

Shana: When I first started, it was just for fun. Now he loves it. He tells me not to blow my money because he knows it won’t last forever. He’s very supportive, but he’s always been very worried, especially when I was in
New York.

Savvy: Is modeling for a living tougher than it looks?

Shana: Modeling is easier than any other job I’d want to be working right now. I enjoy it so much. But a lot of people will look at a picture and think it isn’t much but that one shot can take four hours to get. The poses we’re in may look cute and fun, but most of the time, they are not very comfortable to stay in.

Savvy: I bet you have to deal with a lot of guys gawking at you too and posers pretending to be someone they aren’t.

Shana: People are usually pretty behaved. I have co-founded a Web site called Verifiedmodels that was my concept. It’s a model’s Web site. The agents and photographers are all verified to be legitimate working professionals. Not everyone can be on our site or appear as they could on other sites.

Savvy: Sounds like there might be a few hotties to look at. I dig your Web site too. Very impressive.

Shana: Thank you.

Savvy: Now come speak to about 300 of my friends on how they can look that professional and organized. Public speaking is your thing, right?
