Strange day at work
Posted on: 1/3/08 at 6:33 am
So here in Jacksonville, FL I work for the Duval County School Board, I'm the sign mechanic/graphics designer which entails me making & putting up parking signs, room number signs, marquee signs, etc... for all the schools in the county. Here's the story...

I go into a high school at lunch time to find the teacher's lounge so I can use the microwave to warm up my lunch and in walks a teacher that exclaims "That is the LAST time I EVER leave my classroom for any amount of time unlocked!"

She had left her classroom (which didn't have a class in it that period) to go to the main office for some copies, when she arrived back to her room she discovered a young man sitting in her chair at her desk and for some reason he has a real look of shock on his face. She tells him to leave, he's reluctant to get up, she goes to walk over to make him leave and then it happened... a young lady crawled out from under the desk. Gee I wonder what she was doing under the desk =/

That has got to be the craziest thing I've encountered in the 3 years I've worked for the school board. Brave/stupid kids lol.

So while I got you here I'm interested to know, if you were the parents of one of these kids, what's your reaction to finding this out? If you were one the kids, what's going through your head?

How's that for your "sexy locations" blog question, pretty risque huh? Absolutely crazy kids...it was so hard for me not to bust out laughing though because that's just my reaction to something that's so, well "Whoa!" I didn't want to laugh because the teacher seemed so upset by the situation, but as soon as I left I was like "You gotta be kidding me! hahahahah"

I wonder if she would go back to the same school afterward. I figure she would get transferred, if not by her own parents putting her in a private all girls school lol. It's strange how that "double standards" thing works out, the guy will be immortalized on campus but the girl will now be known as the school slut.

I would be laughing my head off inside, but outside I would be shocked!

Yeah it sucks with the double standards!

priceless!!!

This is great!~ it's true it definitely will be a double standard, for her.

After your 18 years and have decided to partake in "sexual healing"...lol.... and you think your mature enough to spread your legs/or insert your Peter and have sex, then your mature enough to make these decisions and deal with consequence, so yeah....

I would be like, " go get em tiger"...lol.

*Caution, corny joke ahead*

That's one "desk job" I wouldn't mind taking =9 har-har-har

But seriously, the boy probably got a high five from his dad and an "atta boy" pat on the back. The girl is probably confined to her room lol, not to be released until she's 18 and then she's to be shipped off to the nun-ery haha.

Which makes me think, have you girls been in a double standard situation before and how did you deal with it?

Don't assume that she wouldn't get in the same trouble at an all girls school. :)
