Humanitarian and celebrity do-gooder Puff Daddy, P Diddy, or Puff The Magic Dragon Combs as we like to call him around the Savvy Office, has reportedly decided to ‘give back to the people’ (provided that they are rich and famous) by coming up with a brand new business that aims to make the world a better place. Cough, splutter.

See the photos...

Is it helping starving children in Africa?

Um, no.

Is it saving the world from global warming?

Not this time.

Hell, does it even save a furry friend from being made into a designer fur coat?

Of course not – if that was the case, what the hell would P. Diddy wear in winter?

No reportedly, Diddy wants to give back by starting a chauffeur service for drunken celebrities!

Yes, it would seem Diddy the music mogul who is actually more famous to the general public for his ground-breaking work in creative projects such as attending the opening of an envelope, overdressed in a tailored suits, and only attending functions with his massive entourage (most of whom he has on a salary), wants to stop stars from drink-driving after attending celebrity bashes.

Now that Savvy thinks of it, it seems like only yesterday that another music mogul (who was actually talented) sang,  “The best things in life are free,” which explains why you have to pay for Puff’s services – they’re crap.

But back to P. Diddy’s plans to save the world. It would seem that in his own special way Puff feels his business will be for the greater good not of the community for celebrities.

So what bought on this sudden desire to help? Was it the fact that it’s illegal to drink drive? No. Was it the fact that one of these drunken idiots could kill someone? No, instead it was a was a massive advertising endorsement deal that Diddy has just signed with an liquor company that got him thinking…

“After partnering with Ciroc Vodka, he wants to make sure everyone's partying responsibly,” a rep for the rapper reportedly said. Ever heard of calling a cab and not ‘partying’ when you are driving? The rest of the ‘responsible’ world seems to be able to pick it up…

But Daddy Diddy wants to make sure the alcoholic youth of Hollywood who are ‘partying responsibly’ so responsibly that they are not coherent enough to limit their drinks, are catered for with a celebrity car service. Namely, his celebrity car service.

Just what makes Mr Every Step You Take, Every Move You Make’s service so appealing? It seems a tad redundant - it’s not like they all don’t have drivers of their own (granted, whether they use them or not is a whole other article).

Ever heard of sobriety Puff? I think a chauffeur service to rehab could be a wiser option. Or, perhaps Puff Whoever The Hell He Is and his celebrity chauffeur service could cure the issue of drink driving the world over? Why didn’t Savvy think of that?  The advertising campaign could be sponsored by Ciroc… After all, we are all a celebrity in the lives of someone.

Ironically when Mr Responsible was reportedly asked what he hoped to achieve by introducing the service, he again came up with a mature, adult responses of:

"Making sure nobody gets arrested.” Which is interesting considering that the celebrities who have been arrested were actually endangering people’s lives. Glad he’s got his priorities on track.

Let’s hope that he also brings out a book of parenting… we’re sure some of his insights would be more than helpful.
